Gait Analysis 201E
It is important that the student has a baseline of computer skills that include the ability to cut and paste prior to beginning this set of CE lectures. Both Canine and Equine versions of 201 may be taken as the information in each is new. The courses start with a basic look at what we are asking the animals to do. Different jobs (events) require we know what kind of things we can measure to see if there is an acceptable improvement. There is a short segment on the terminology used in the video industry and how it relates to what we are do with quadrupedal video Gait Analysis. The student will then download the program Sports Motion (see below). Dr. Ormston will demonstrate how to use the program to analyze different gaits in the dog or horse. The student will save examples of their work and send it via email for grading.
