Dr. Shanie Cahill is a 2001 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. She is a Texas native but moved to the Midwest to go to nursing school. After a chiropractic adjustment to her ear cured an ear infection, she realized the healing potential of chiropractic and changed her career path. During her chiropractic education, Dr. Cahill was introduced to animal chiropractic and fell in love with the idea. After graduating from Palmer, she completed the coursework for animal chiropractic through Options for Animals in Port Byron, IL and became certified by the AVCA. Dr. Cahill has been practicing animal chiropractic for 10 years and is highly sought after for her experience and knowledge. She has served as an examiner for the AVCA certification exam, has taught continuing education classes and labs for the AVCA, is a mentor and for the Palmer College of Chiropractic Animal Chiropractic Club, and an official preceptor for Palmer. In addition to animal chiropractic, Dr. Cahill is also trained in Thompson and Activator technique, BEST, Reiki, and animal communication. Dr. Cahill is the adoptive mother of two quarter horses, Spitfire and Cutter, an incredibly sweet doberman pinscher named Yuma, and several spunky cats: Casanova, Tigger, Sweetie, and Mo.
